Interact District Council Formed

Under the leadership of District Interact Chair, Marty Rosenstein (La Jolla Golden Triangle RC), the Interact Clubs in the District have formed an Interact District Council. This is the format called for by Rotary International. Their first meeting was at UCSD in February. At that meeting they held a Strategic Planning session to help them form their first District Council government. They elected officers for this year. In March, the Interact Advisors met in the morning at the District Training Assembly. Interactors joined the advisors in the afternoon to plan their event calendar.

The first Interact Service Project was held at the Boys & Girls Club of Solana Beach on April 12. The Interactors made posters to give to Marines at Camp Pendleton when they meet for their second service project. The project involvespackaging toiletries and other items for Marines. The photos show Interactors working on banners and holding up a finished banner. This next event will be held on May 10. It will include a social activity after they deliver the toiletries to the Camp Pendleton Marines.
