One of the most useful features of the new District 5340 website is the ability to sync your Club's member data directly with both the District and Rotary International. However, if you have not turned on synchronization for your own Club, you might be missing the boat.

For years, Clubs adding members or updating member information had to enter it in three times:

  1. Into their Club website
  2. Into the District website
  3. Into Rotary International's database

Entering the same data for each member multiple times was time-consuming, and led to plenty of typos and errors. Plus, in many cases, address updates, email address, and phone numbers were never shared with Rotary International.

But with the new Rotary5340.org website, multiple entries are a thing of the past.

Now, everyone has the ability to enter data once into the District website, and that data can automatically be shared with Rotary.org. And if your Club has its own ClubRunner account, one entry of data gets shared with both District and Rotary International.

By default, data synchronization is turned off. Both Rotary International and ClubRunner have very strict privacy guidelines, and need authorization to begin sharing data. However, through a simple two-step process, Clubs can turn on data synchronization, and begin to enjoy the benefits of working within the ClubRunner system. To download the steps in an easy-to-follow PDF, simply click on:

If you have questions about the synchronization or would like to see your Club listed above, please do not hesitate to ask Scott Carr at webmaster@sdrotary.org.
