If you're heading to the San Diego Fair for Independence Day weekend, look for the Care 'n Share Toy Drive booth. For the first time, Rotary District 5340 is sponsoring the Care 'n Share Toy Drive as a district wide project.  This toy drive was previously a project of the Rotary Club of Torrey Pines (La Jolla) in cooperation with numerous other organizations in San Diego. This year, the clubs that make up District 5340 have opted to make the Care N Share Toy Drive a district-wide project so all of the Rotary Clubs in the district can participate.

District 5340 Toy Drive Booth Toy Donors
This toy drive is held during the San Diego County Fair at the Del Mar Fairground.  The fair runs from June 3 to July 4. The goal this year is to collect over 10,000 toys to distribute to sick children in the San Diego region. This toy drive is open to everyone who attends the fair because there were will be a collection point for toys there.

Clubs and individuals can participate in several ways. The first way is to volunteer to staff the collection booth at the San Diego Fair. The second way to participate is host a toy drive by putting a toy collection box at your club or business.  The third way to participate is to sponsor a library collection box at one of the more than 50 library locations in the county.  The collection boxes will be supplied through Rotary District 5340.
