February is Peace Month for Rotary.  On Saturday, February 24, 2018, the District Pathways to Peace Award for 2017 will be presented at our District Peace Forum in the Joan Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice Center at USD from 8:00 a.m. to noon.

The Peacemaker of the Year Award honors members of Rotary and the community who have made a significant difference in promoting peace, tolerance, understanding and conflict resolution, locally or globally.  They must have demonstrated their commitment by concrete action to bring about the change called for by rotary's Mission Statement: building goodwill and peace in the world.

The recipient of the award can be from the greater San Diego community and need not be a Rotarian, but should have strong ties to the service area of the nominating club.   Each club must submit its Club Peacemaker of the Year as its nominee for District Peacemaker.  Clubs should submit a completed Peacemaker of the Year nomination form, which includes a description of the nominee's qualifications for both the Club and District awards by January 15, 2018.    Please email the completed document to joyprowse@stanprowse.com.
